Free Credit Report

As of June 1 st , 2005 residents of the state of Texas can obtain a free credit report each year from all three bureaus at www.annualcreditreport.com . We strongly encourage that you do this. Quite often, credit reports contain inaccurate information that needs to be corrected before one can buy a home. Unfortunately, this report does tell you what your FICO scores are - which is what lenders will use to decide if you qualify for a mortgage and what your interest rate is. However, the information contained in this report is valuable nonetheless. And it's free.

We also strongly encourage that you review your credit report with one of our counselors as soon as possible . We can offer you advice as to whether or not you should open accounts, close accounts, pay off old collections, etc.

If you with to sign up for a free twenty minute credit counseling session, please provide us your contact information. These sessions are free and are extremely valuable if you're planning to buy a home in the near future.
